University-wide Current Student Scholarships
The Office of Academic Scholarships manages a "university-wide" scholarship competition, meaning that current UA undergraduate students from any academic discipline are eligible to apply. Students must have completed at least one fall semester. The scholarship competition seeks students with a high level of academic achievement coupled with leadership qualities, financial need, or who have achieved academic success despite significant adversity.
Academic achievement is first gauged by a high university GPA then by other indicators of achievement such as outstanding undergraduate research. Our application requires one essay, a current resumé, and a letter of recommendation. The final application deadline is March 3rd. Applicants will be notified regarding final decisions starting May 1st. Scholarships will be awarded for the following fall and spring terms.
